2:15-2:45 - BUILDING SELF-SUFFICIENCY: Food Stamps. Medicaid and Kid’s Connection. Child Care Assistance. Ever wondered how these programs work? Ever wanted to learn about how to make them work better for your clients? Join us to learn more about public assistance programs, resources, and policy ideas for improving self-sufficiency programs in our state

3:00–3:30 - NEBRASKA’S NEW NEIGHBORS: Immigrants and Immigration: Curious about trends in immigration? Working with immigrant community members? Come learn more about immigrant and community opportunities related to education, work, financial education, and more
3.30-4:15 - STANDING UP FOR HEALTH CARE REFORM: Last year Nebraska Appleseed created the Health Care Access Program to push for real health care reform in a variety of ways. Join us to learn about this new program and an exciting national campaign, Health Care for America Now! You can help in the fight to win a guarantee of quality, affordable health care for all.
